Fernando has worked in Veterinary Diagnostic Imaging since finishing his PhD at the University of Zaragoza in Spain in 1994 which included a postdoctoral stay at Tufts University and a sabbatical year acting as Associate Professor of Diagnostic Imaging at the School of Veterinary and Biomedical Sciences in James Cook University, Australia.

Fernando then lectured in Diagnostic Imaging at the Department of Animal Medicine and Surgery School of Veterinary Medicine at CEU-Cardenal Herrera University in Valencia, Spain before moving to the UK in 2016 to become a full-time radiologist at Cave Veterinary Specialists in Somerset and now here at Highcroft Veterinary Referrals.
