Kate graduated with honours from Nottingham University Vet School in 2012. Her undergraduate research and experience developed her interest in ophthalmology. After graduating, she developed experience handling both first opinion and referral ophthalmology case work while working at a busy small animal hospital alongside a certificate holder.

Kate joined the ophthalmology team at Batchelor, Davidson & Watson in 2015, completing her post-graduate Certificate in Small Animal Ophthalmology. She gained her RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in Veterinary Ophthalmology in 2016. She now runs the ophthalmology referral service at Batchelor, Davidson & Watson, accepting referral cases from across Scotland. Alongside medical management of all ophthalmological conditions, Kate offers surgical treatments for lid and lash abnormalities, corneal ulcers and traumas, and cataract removal by phacoemulsification.
