Kathryn Wale

Kathryn graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in 2012. She initially went into mixed equine and small animal practice, where she gained an interest in companion animal care, and moved into small animal practice the following year.

Kathryn completed her RCVS Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice while working as a surgeon in a hospital in the West Midlands, finishing in January 2018.

In March 2019 Kathryn moved to YourVets in Smethwick to set up a surgical referral service. Kathryn is happy to accept referrals for soft tissue and orthopaedic procedures, and is particularly focussed on stifle surgery and fracture management. She also has an interest in surgical oncology and reconstructive procedures in wound management. The YourVets surgery service offers fixed-price procedures which include post-operative care, so is ideal for clients who need to stay in careful control of their budgets. Kathryn is also happy to teach and discuss cases and welcomes other vets to scrub in and assist if they are interested to do so.
