Monika graduated in 2004 from the University of Warmia and Mazury in Olsztyn, Poland. She moved to the UK in 2005 and quickly developed an interest in diagnostic imaging and cardiology. Monika obtained the Certificate in General Practice (Cardiology) in 2010 and the Certificate in Advanced Veterinary Practice (Veterinary Cardiology) in 2017.  She is an Advanced Practitioner in Veterinary Cardiology.

Monika is a member if Veterinary Cardiovascular Society and regularly updates her knowledge. She also has a close working relationship with RCVS recognized Specialists in Veterinary Cardiology and visits their practice on regular basis. She competed an Equine echocardiography course in 2018 and can offer this service to equine practices.

Monika joined Springfield Veterinary Group in 2014 and since developed a busy first opinion and referral caseload in cardiology. She is happy seeing cases for assessment of heart murmurs, arrhythmias, collapse, breathing abnormalities, persistent cough, pleural, pericardial or abdominal effusions.

Monika is able to offer full diagnostic work up inclusive of blood testing (incl. cardiac markers), blood pressure monitoring, echocardiography, ECG (incl. Holter monitoring as necessary), thoracic radiography, endoscopy and bronchoscopy. Apart from her main interest in cardiology and diagnostic imaging, she has a strong interest in internal medicine and works closely with Springfield’s internal medicine and surgical team to manage any complex cases.
