Robin graduated from the University of Edinburgh in 1993. After spending some time in mixed animal practice in Devon he moved to Hampshire and joined Animed in 1996 where he has remained ever since.

Robin gained the RCVS certificate in Veterinary Radiology in 2001 then the RCVS certificate in Veterinary Cardiology in 2011, gaining RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in 2016.  He has developed a busy case load for imaging and cardiology cases from within Animed and also form other first opinion practices within the region.

Imaging referrals are welcomed for ultrasonographic evaluation of thoracic and abdominal disorders. Ultrasound guided fine needle aspirates and Trucut biopsies can be performed to assist diagnosis where appropriate.

Cardiology referrals are welcomed for the investigation and treatment of the following:

  • Murmurs in adults dogs/cats and puppies/kittens
  • Arrhythmias
  • Coughing
  • Breathlessness
  • Exercise intolerance
  • Episodic weakness and collapse
  • Treatment of congestive heart failure
  • Pericardial effusions

Robin is happy to take patients on a full referral basis or scan only basis where the referring clinician retains control of case management. He is also happy to discuss cases with clinicians by telephone / email.
