Ruth Wickens

Ruth graduated with distinction from Bristol Vet School in 2002. Following in two years in mixed practice she moved to a busy small animal hospital in the Midlands where she worked for the next 11 years until a family move resulted in her moving to Clifton Villa Veterinary Surgery in Cornwall.

In 2009 Ruth gained the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Medicine and was awarded RCVS Advanced Practitioner status in Small Animal Medicine in 2015.

Ruth is interested in all aspects of small animal medicine and enjoys managing more complicated medical cases. She particularly enjoys oncology and chemotherapy, respiratory disease and endocrinopathies. Competency in ultrasonography, radiography and endoscopy means that cases can be worked up within one visit in many cases.
