This presentation will cover the updated CVS clinical guidelines, framed around clinical cases, for the diagnosis and management of canine hypoadrenocorticism, with a focus on both acute and chronic treatment strategies. We will review the recognition of Addisonian crisis, emphasizing rapid stabilization with intravenous fluids, glucocorticoid therapy, and electrolyte correction. Long-term management, including optimal glucocorticoid and mineralocorticoid replacement, and monitoring strategies will also be discussed.
