Lumbry Park appoints Jon Hardy, Specialist Dermatologist

CVS Group is delighted to announce that Jon Hardy, Specialist in Veterinary Dermatology, has been appointed to lead Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists new dermatology service. 

Jon graduated from Cambridge University Veterinary School in 2007 and began his career in small animal general practice. He developed a strong interest in dermatology, and made the decision to become a specialist, very early on in his career. In 2009, Jon undertook a rotating internship at the Royal Veterinary College, London, followed by a three-year residency in veterinary dermatology. He gained the European Diploma in Veterinary Dermatology in July 2014.

Jon said:

I am delighted to be part of the Specialist team here at Lumbry Park. Working collaboratively with such a large and experienced team is not only exciting for me as a clinician, but more importantly, it will optimise patient outcomes and build a truly first class dermatology service.”

Jon is interested in all aspects of dermatology, but particularly enjoys cases of parasitic disease and the challenges associated with managing patients with chronic ear disease.  He treats patients with a wide variety of skin conditions including otitis, alopecia, keratinisation disorders, infectious and allergic skin diseases, and many more. He is also very happy to provide referring vets with advice on cases over the phone or via e-mail.

The new dermatology service provides patients with cutting-edge facilities such as advanced imaging and video-otoscopy, a multidisciplinary approach to the management of skin disease, intradermal allergy testing and 24hr veterinary and nursing care for those patients needing hospitalisation.
