Neurology

Our neurology specialists are based at ChesterGates Veterinary Specialists, Dovecote Veterinary Hospital, Highcroft Veterinary Referrals and Lumbry Park Veterinary Specialists.

The team treat patients for a multitude of neurological disorders that affect the central nervous system, brain and spine.

These include conditions such as:  feline and canine epilepsy; infectious and inflammatory conditions such as meningitis; brain trauma and brain tumours; spinal tumours, slipped discs (intervertebral disc extrusion), hydrocephalus and developmental spinal diseases.

MRI and CT are routinely used for diagnosis and for planning the correct surgical approach.

Teleneurology

In March 2019 CVS launched a new internal teleneurology service. The service is led by renowned veterinary Specialist, Laurent Garosi DVM DipECVN FRCVS, Specialist in veterinary neurology, who provides reporting of MRI scans, and assistance with challenging neurology cases for our Specialist-led centres.
